Worlds Next Door Review

by Aidan on Jun.16, 2010, under My Writing, Writing

The first review of the forthcoming Worlds Next Door anthology.

My favourite above all was ‘Inksucker” by Aidan Doyle. I loved this one so much I wanted to hug it. Some sentences were gorgeous gems, a delight to read and really good to see someone playing with language, and showing how much fun writing, and stories, can be. I would love to read more short stories in this world!

Strange Horizons Sale

by Aidan on May.26, 2010, under My Writing, Writing

Got some good news today.

Just sold a short story to Strange Horizons.

It was my first acceptance by Strange Horizons after submitting 11 stories to them over the years.  So persistence does pay off!

And it’s my third SFWA-level professional short story sale.

Mathematical Fiction

by Aidan on Feb.10, 2010, under My Writing, Writing

The Mathematical Fiction web site is an interesting sith with reviews and lists of fiction that uses mathematical concepts.

Not surprisingly there are a lot of references to Greg Egan and Ted Chiang stories.

My own Reading By Numbers story has an entry now.
