Weird Tales has redesigned their web site, increased their pay rate and changed their editorial team.

If you look in the fiction section, you’ll find my Mr. Nine & the Gentleman Ghost next to a Catherynne M. Valente story. :-)

Hokkaido Green Locus Review

by on Dec.02, 2010, under My Writing, Writing

Lois Tilton at Locus gave Hokkaido Green a nice review.

There is a low-key deadpan humor here that makes this one charming and keeps a heartwarming story from falling into sentimentality. Almost a fairy tale.

Chinese Version of Reading By Numbers

by on Nov.28, 2010, under My Writing, Writing

I ended up corresponding with White Moon, the Chinese woman that did the translation of Hokkaido Green.

And now there is an authorised Mandarin translation of my story, Reading By Numbers.

Given the structure and formatting of the story, it wouldn’t have been the easiest story to translate, but she has managed to translate it and still preserve the story’s hidden message.
